* KWC 2009 awarded 5 trophy wines as below.
- The Best White Wine overall
- The Best Red Wine except from Chile, Australia
- The Best Chilean Red Wine (the country participating more than 100 red entries)
- The Best Australian Red Wine (the country participating more than 100 red entries)
- The Best Sparkling Wine overall
Gold Medal Wines - 37 entries
Silver Medal Wines - 72 entries
Bronze Medal Wines - 127 entries
Seal of Approval Wines - 73 entries
